Grumpy Cloud Records was conceived immaculate in the gingery nut of Gareth Williams.
Yr kinda floatin' through the air, light and fluffy, free of care. Something happens (stuff is always happening!) that makes you feel all your
weight at once. Your face is pulled down into a frown, yr head bent over a guitar and before you know it you got a song. The song becomes songs, the songs an album, the album-albums.
Maybe you have three dear, deer friends (Ryan McVeigh, Tyler Shipley, Matt McLennan). Real close, like brothers (from other mothers) They too got heads-bent, songs pouring from their guitars. Maybe those songs hit yr ears and you want the whole world to hear what you hear. Maybe they feel the same about your music and each other's. Maybe THAT is how a label is born.
